AIR PURIFYING VENTILATOR

The objective of Filter-Vent is to provide fresh clean air to the entire home when people are present. Air distribution is critical for comfort. 10-30% of the delivered air is fresh. The amount of air is adjustable with balancing dampers or diffuser dampers. Avoid delivering high quantities of air to single location. Delivering small quantities to several locations blends the fresh air into the house without effecting comfort.

Filter-Vent is an air purifying supply ventilator that combines fresh air ventilation, high efficiency air filtration, and indoor air circulation, into a single unit.
Fresh air ventilation is provided through a 6” duct intake on the Filter-Vent. This fresh air inlet contains a built-in restrictor to adjust outdoor air flow. The Filter-Vent also has an 8” intake duct for indoor air and an 8” supply duct for the filtered combination of fresh and indoor air.
The Filter-Vent filter compartment will accept up to 6” of filter combinations. Guides are set for one 2” and one 4” filter depths.
The fresh outdoor air and indoor air are combined and draw
through the filter assmbly. The Filter-Vent will draw approximately 310 CFM of unrestricted air flow. As the filters collect debris, air flow will be slightly reduced. Duct length and design will also impact air flow. At 0.5 IWG of external static pressure the Filter-Vent will provide 240 CFM of air flow.
The standard filter is a 60% efficient pleated media filter (ASHRAE 52-76 dust spot test) and meets the new MERV-8 rating (ASHRAE 52.2P). An optional 4”, 95% efficient (ASHRAE 52-76 dust spot test) extended surface air filter is also available. Additional filter combinations can include an activated carbon/potassium permangenate blend filter.
The unit is controlled by a positive "on/off" switch. An optional electronic digital timer may also be mounted onto the unit. Both control devices may be wired for remote location. The electronic timer permits operation to be programmed to coordinate with the times the home is occupied or to meet ventilation requirements.
The Filter-Vent may be installed on the floor, or hung from joists with 4 nylon reinforced rubber strap hangers.
The Filter-Vent plugs into a standard 115 volt, 15 amp grounded outlet. The unit draws only 0.9 amps (110 watts) of electricity when operating.
